Minority Grants for
Women
Since
women are considered a minority group, then any available grants for minorities
are also available for women. Women are considered the largest of minority
groups. Most grants for minorities are provided as a way to help women
succeed in business and life in general.
The same way there
are laws and regulations for minorities in the job place, there are also
designated funds allocated for minorities to encourage them to reach
their financial business goals whether they are an established business
or a business startup.
When applying for
a minority grant you should have all the needed documents ready. These
documents might include:
Income statements
Tax forms for the
last 3 years
Personal ID or State
ID card
Social Security
information
Birth certificates
or immigration status cards

========================
THE
LAGRANT FOUNDATION is a nonprofit 501 (c)(3) organization whose
mission is to increase the number of ethnic minorities in the fields of
advertising, marketing and public relations by providing scholarships,
career development workshops, professional development, mentors and internships
to African American, American Indian/Native American, Asian Pacific American
and Hispanic/Latino undergraduate and graduate students. Our goal is to
open the proverbial â€Å“doorâ€? for minorities by
providing the necessary resources and tools not commonly available to many
minorities entering the fields of advertising, marketing and public relations.
Seeking to enhance
the academic and professional development of undergraduate and graduate
students pursuing careers in these fields, the activities of THE LAGRANT
FOUNDATION are as follows:
Scholarships
THE LAGRANT FOUNDATION
annually provides 15 scholarships to undergraduate and graduate students
who are attending accredited institutions and are pursuing careers in the
fields of advertising, marketing or public relations.
Career development
THE LAGRANT FOUNDATION
annually coordinates a career development workshop for its scholarship
recipients. The workshop provides the recipients with an opportunity to
speak with industry professionals about their field of interest and specialty.
Additionally, workshops are held in major college markets nationwide for
students outside of the scholarship recipients.... more...
